How Much Do Custom Team Uniforms Cost? 8 Factors That Set Your Price

“How much will our uniforms cost?” is the first question almost every team, club and brand asks. The honest answer is that the price of custom team uniforms depends on a handful of choices you make: how many you order, the fabric, how they are decorated and a few extras. Fabric and material costs also change through the year, which is why we quote every order individually instead of publishing a price list.

This guide walks through the 8 factors that set the price of custom uniforms, so you know what to expect and can get an accurate quote the first time.

The 8 factors in every custom uniform quote

1. Quantity and number of designs

Every custom order involves setup work: preparing your artwork, the pattern and the production run. That work is shared across the pieces in a design, so the quantity you order affects the cost per piece. Our minimum is 10 pieces per design, and sizes can be mixed within that quantity.

The number of designs matters too. A club ordering one design for every team is quoted differently from a league with a different design for each team, even at the same total quantity. Give us your realistic numbers and we will quote them as they are.

2. Fabric

Fabric is one of the biggest parts of a uniform’s cost. Heavier or more technical fabrics cost more than light, simple ones. For example, our baseball uniforms use 160 GSM or 200 GSM polyester for jerseys and a heavier 280 GSM fabric for pants, while basketball uniforms use breathable birdseye mesh. Special options such as mesh panels, stretch Lycra or waterproof fabric also change the price.

If you are not sure which fabric you need, tell us your sport, climate and level of play and we will recommend one. See our fabric guide by sport.

3. Decoration method

How your design is applied is the next big factor. With sublimation, the design is dyed into polyester fabric, so a complex design with many colors usually costs the same as a simple one. Methods like embroidery, screen printing, appliqué and patches are priced differently, often by size, stitch count, number of colors or number of placements.

Compare all 17 methods on our customization page, or read sublimation vs screen printing.

4. Names, numbers and personalization

Each player name, number, sleeve number, sponsor logo or extra placement is another step in production, especially when it is stitched rather than sublimated. Sublimated names and numbers are part of the design itself, while appliqué or twill numbers are cut and sewn on piece by piece.

5. Construction and style

More complex garments take more cutting and sewing. A reversible jersey uses more fabric than a single-sided one, a 12-panel football jersey has more seams than a simple tee, and a premium baseball jersey with mesh underarms and back has extra panels. Hoods, pockets, zips and pad pockets all add work too.

6. Labels, tags and packaging

Brands and clubs often add woven or printed labels, hang tags and custom poly bags. These are optional, but each adds a small cost. They are usually worth it for retail and private label orders. See our labels and hang tags options.

7. Sample, timeline and rush orders

Every order starts with a free digital design mockup. Before bulk production we make a physical sample for your approval. Samples are charged, and the sample cost is included in your quote. Sampling takes about 3 weeks and bulk production 3–4 weeks.

If you need uniforms faster, rush orders may be possible depending on our production schedule. Please ask us first so we can check your dates.

8. Shipping and import duties

We ship worldwide by FedEx, DHL or UPS, and the shipping cost depends on the weight of your order and where it is going. Import duties, taxes and customs charges in your country are paid by the buyer unless your quote says otherwise, so it is worth checking your local rules before you order.

How payment works

Our standard terms are a 50% advance to start production and the remaining 50% before shipment. Repeat customers can get more flexible terms.
