Bulk Custom Jerseys: Planning Sizes, Names and Numbers for Many Teams

Ordering jerseys for one team is simple. Ordering for a whole league, with dozens of names, numbers and sizes, is where most mistakes happen: a misspelled name, two players with the same number, a youth size listed as adult.

This guide shows team dealers and league organisers how to plan a bulk jersey order for many teams, so every jersey arrives right the first time.

Bulk custom jerseys – planning sizes, names and numbers for many teams

Start with one roster per team

Give every team the same simple sheet and ask for it with the design, not after. One row per player is all you need:

PlayerName on backNumberSize
1MARTINEZ23L
2KHAN10M
3LEE7S

Keep each team on its own sheet and name the file after the team. When the order arrives, each team is packed separately to match.

Jersey roster plan for many teams: one roster per team, check names, check numbers, check sizes, group by design, packed by team

Check the names

  • Check the spelling with each team before you send the order
  • Agree whether names are in capitals, and whether every player has one
  • Decide what happens with very long names, such as using a shorter version

Check the numbers

  • Make sure no two players on the same team share a number
  • Check whether your league has rules about number size, colour or position before you approve the design
  • Decide whether numbers go on the front, back or both

Check the sizes

Our free team uniform size list builds the roster for you: names, numbers and sizes, with a total for each size and a check against the 10-piece minimum.

Sizes cause more reorders than anything else. Once your order is confirmed we send our size charts, so teams can check each player’s size before production starts. Keep youth and adult sizes clearly separate on the roster. For sports such as basketball, American football and flag football we make youth sizes as well as women’s and girls’ cuts.

Group your teams by design

Our minimum is 10 pieces per design, and those 10 pieces can be in mixed sizes or colours. If several small teams share one design, they can be grouped into one design on the order; if each team has its own design, each needs at least 10 jerseys.

Plan for new players

Players join after the season starts. You do not need to order large extras up front: reorders of a design you have already approved can be below 10 pieces.
