Socks are the one part of a team order that is not sized from body measurements. Players already know their shoe size, so most of our sock charts start from shoe size. The catch is that different sock styles use different size letters, so an M in one style is not the same as an M in another.
This guide explains how to size each sock family we make, how hockey socks are sized by player height, and where to find the sock chart for every sport.
How to size team socks
- Ask every player for their shoe size, and whether it is a men’s, women’s or kids’ size.
- Find the sock style you are ordering below and read the size from that style’s chart.
- For hockey socks, use the player’s height instead of shoe size.
- Write the sock size, not the shoe size, on your final size list.

Knitted crew socks and knitted knee-high socks share the same foot sizes (S youth 7–9, M intermediate 9–11, L adult 10–13); only the leg length changes.

Tips for ordering team socks
- Collect shoe sizes at the same time as jersey and shorts sizes.
- Check the chart for the exact style: knitted, sublimated and awareness socks use different size letters.
- Kids, women and men can be mixed: our minimum is 10 pieces per design, and those 10 can be in mixed sizes or colors.
- These charts are a general guide. Once your order is confirmed, we share the exact size chart for your style so you can give us the final size for every piece.

Frequently asked questions
How are team socks sized?
Most of our socks are sized from shoe size. Each sock style has its own chart, so check the chart for the style you are ordering. Hockey socks are sized by player height.
What size knee-high socks for a men’s size 11 shoe?
For our knitted knee-high socks, size L covers adult shoe sizes 10–13.
How are hockey socks sized?
By the player’s height. Our hockey socks run from size 18 for players under 3’3″ up to size 34 for players 5’9″–6’2″.
Is a medium the same in every sock style?
No. Different sock styles use different size letters and shoe size ranges, so always read the size from the chart for that style.
What is the minimum order for custom socks?
10 pieces per design. The 10 pieces can be in mixed sizes or colors.
